Thule Epos Bike Rack for 2 Bikes Review - 2023 Kia Seltos - TH99XE- Video
Hi everyone. I'm Evangeline here at etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule Epos 2-bike rack without the lights, and we're gonna see how it fits here on our 2023 Kia Seltos. The Epos is pretty popular because it's a more lightweight bike rack, it has wheels to make it easy to maneuver and then make it easy to install into the hitch of your Kia Seltos. Another thing to it is that whether you have the inch and a quarter hitch or the two inch hitch receiver, this is gonna fit into it. Now, please hopefully you do have a two-inch hitch receiver, so you can maximize the weight capacity of this rack, which is 140 pounds for two bikes with a single pound weight capacity of 75 if you're only carrying one bike. And the way it holds onto that bike is at different points around the bike that makes the most sense for you and how it's built. more

Hey, everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Yakima OnRamp LX Bike Rack and how it fits here on our 2024 Kia Carnival. This is actually gonna be my first look at this bike rack, so we get to take a look at it together right off the bat. I definitely see this as useful for if you need to carry extra heavy bikes here with your Carnival. This does include a ramp that's attached to the rack, hence the name "OnRamp." So for those heavier bikes, if you don't wanna be lifting them up and onto the rack, this is gonna work out for you. And this does have a maximum weight capacity of 80 pounds, which is awesome because electric brakes seems to be getting heavier and heavier. more

Now, this is gonna be a great option for you if you're trying to get a lot of bikes from point A to point B, especially if you have a big family and want to go out riding with them. So let's check it out. So this is gonna have a weight capacity up to 40 pounds per bike, but the whole carrier's weight capacity is gonna be 150 pounds. So if you wanna load this up, up to 150 pounds, then each bike's gonna have to weigh a little bit less than 40 pounds. Definitely keep that in mind. more

Hey, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we have the Swagman Okanagan Three-Bike Platform Rack. We're gonna take a look at how it fits here on our 2023 Kia Seltos. Now the Okanagan is in the three-bike configuration, which is two-bike platform rack, plus the add-on. I like the clearance it gives, we have plenty of space to open up our hatch on our Seltos. The downside is there's gonna be a lot more movement here on this rack. So, if possible, please put your lighter bike on the very end, because that will help reduce that movement up and down. more

Saris Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Kia Seltos SAR62MR- Video
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at how the Saris MHS Bike and Cargo Kit fits on a 2023 Kia Seltos. We are focusing on how this specific kit and system works with this specific car. If you're curious though, about the whole kit or its components, you can check out our full length review videos here at etrailer.com. Now, the main thing though with a Seltos is I really like this combination just because it expands my cargo space and allows me to carry around the bike. But it's important that you have a two inch hitch receiver and that you're very conscious of the tongue weight capacity of your vehicle, because while this whole system has a total weight capacity of up to 195 pounds, your hitch weight capacity may be less, so just double check that (engine revving) before you load your cargo up. Technically, the basket has 160 pound weight capacity and the bike rack has a 35 pound weight capacity. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2024 Kia Niro PHEV- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Hollywood Racks Destination four, and we're taking a look at how it fits here on our 2024 Kia Niro. The Destination four is one of my favorite bike racks because it is so affordable, but still offers amazing features that even pricier racks don't sometimes offer. This has a lot of versatility for types of bikes, but my favorite part about it is how lightweight and compact it is, even with the ability to carry around four bikes. Now, the downside to this rack is that this does not tilt down, which is a bummer because the Niro's hatch door is so short that most bike racks that tilt away give you so much hatch access, and you can get into your cargo area, but at this price point, that's just gonna be something you're gonna have to give up for the ability to carry on a lot of bikes. So what types of bikes can you carry Well, this does have a maximum weight capacity of 35 pounds per bike, which is most lighter mountain bike and road bikes. This does have a angle to the cradles, which mean your different wheel bases are fine. more

Hey, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look at the Kuat Transfer V2 3-Bike Platform Rack, we're seeing how it fits here on our 2024 Kia Niro. The Kuat Transfer is really popular, because of its unique goalpost design. This is gonna be Kuat's entry-level bike rack that gives you that stability of a platform rack, but also not as pricey as, let's say their Kuat Sherpa or their Kuat NV. Something that's usually a downside for a Transfer, but not in the case of our Niro, is that usually doesn't tilt down far enough to get hatch access. But because the Niro's hatch is rather on the small size for the door and because of how this is shaped, we actually get plenty of clearance, well, not plenty, but decent clearance to lower down our bike rack and then open up our hatch. more

Hi, everyone, I'm Evangeline here at etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at the Saris MHS 3-bike kit, and we'll see how it fits on the 2023 Kia Seltos. Right off the bat, I'd have to say that this isn't the best fit for the Seltos with the Seltos being a smaller SUV and this bike rack being a super heavy-duty bike rack. Now, this does have the capacity to carry around two 80 pound bikes as well as a 35 pound bike at the very end. But your Seltos may or may not be able to carry that much weight, so please double check your tongue weight capacity of your hitch before loading up your bikes. It's still worth taking a look at, because I like this bike rack kit with how sturdy it is compared to other dual wheel mount bike racks. more

Right off of the bat, the Inno Tire Hold HD is what you'd be looking at if you want something that has a super high weight capacity for heavy electric bikes, but also has that dual wheel mount style to make it much easier to carry those bikes. The downside for how this fits on the car though is it doesn't tilt down far enough to open up the hatch if you have mountain bikes. So that is something to be mindful and we'll talk about in this video. But the perks are is that it sits low enough to the ground to make it a lot easier to load and unload those bikes. more

Our two main points of contact are going to be two rationing arms, one here on our back tire and one here on our front tire. Now, what that means altogether is we are making no frame contact, meaning we can accommodate those carbon frame bikes and those alternative frame bikes, and due to the heavy weight capacity that we have available to us we can carry around our heavier electric e-bikes. The GuideRail also is a more premium style bike rack and does come with some really cool features like the tilt away. more

So this one does have a leg up over the competition just a little bit. Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Kia Carnival KU24FR- Video
Hi everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Transfer V2 Three Bike Rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2022 Kia Carnival. This is gonna be a platform style bike rack that can hold up to three bikes and it's going to be one that holds a bike by the tire using a front wheel hook at the front, and a wheel strap down at the bottom at the back. That means that when we're holding the bike, we're not touching the frame at all, making this a good option for carbon frame bikes and alternative frame bikes. And it does a pretty good job at getting a strong hold on the bike, but with the weight capacity, you're gonna run into a little bit of a limitation. It can only support 40 pounds per bike. more

Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat NV Base platform style bike rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2022 Kia Carnival. This is gonna be a pretty good entry to the higher end bike racks. Certainly one of my personal favorites because it does hold the bike really well. We've got a front wheel hook and a back wheel strap, meaning that there's zero frame contact, making this a good option for carbon frame and alternative frame bikes. And with the 60 pound weight capacity per bike it can handle some e-bikes too. more

Hi everyone. Aiden here at ETrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat NV 2.0 platform style bike rack, and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Kia Sorento. This is gonna be a platform style rack. and one of the nicer ones, at that. It's gonna hold the bike, by the front tire using this wheel hook, and have a secondary point of contact at the back tire, with a wheel strap, it gets a very strong hold on the bike. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Kia Sorento INH120- Video
Hi, everyone, Aiden here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the INNO Tire Hold Two-Bike Rack and seeing how it fits in the back of our 2023 Kia Sorento. This is gonna be a platform-style bike rack, holding the bike in these trays and by our tires using this dual wheel mount design, where we've got wheel hoops on either side, making no frame contact with the bike. That's gonna make it good for carbon frame and alternative frame bikes. And if you're looking to carry some e-bikes, you're in luck because this can support 60 pounds per bike. So the tire hold is a pretty versatile rack. more

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Sherpa hitch bike rack and how it fits on our 2023 Kia Telluride. The Sherpa is a two-bike platform style bike rack capable of supporting 40 pounds per bike. It's going to hold our bikes primarily by this wheel hook right here and one additional strap down there at the bottom. Now it's not gonna make any frame contact so if we don't want to damage our carbon frame bikes we don't have to. If we have alternative frame bikes they'll work with that, or if we just have a nice paint job, it'll work there too. more

The NV is a two-bike platform-style bike rack capable of supporting two bikes up to 60 pounds each. Gonna hold onto our bikes primarily by this wheel hook, and one additional strap down at the bottom. So if you have a carbon frame bike, it'll work with that without damaging the frame while you're driving. Or if you just have a really nice paint job that you don't want to get damaged, it'll work with that too. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Kia Telluride- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination 4 Bike Rack, sits in the hitch of our 2023 Kia Telluride. It's a four-bike platform style bike rack capable of supporting four bikes up to 35 pounds each. It's going to hold onto our bikes primarily with these rotating padded clamps on our center mast, as well as two additional straps down at the bottom. If we take a closer look at what those cradles look like, they do slide up and down the mast and they rotate. They're also padded on the strap and on the inside to protect the frames a little bit, but we still don't recommend using this rack with carbon frame bikes. more

Hey, it's Ethan here at Etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination two-bike platform rack and how it fits on our 2023 Kia Telluride. It's gonna be able to support up to 35 pounds per bike and it's going to hold onto a bike primarily with these rotating paddock clamps right here on our center mass. Take a look at this one. You see they do slide up and down and they do rotate to accommodate different shapes but they do make contact with our frame ultimately. So if we do want to use this with carbon frame bikes we definitely recommend against it 'cause it could potentially damage that while you're driving. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Kia Telluride HLY84FR- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE hitch bike rack and how it fits on our 2023 Kia Telluride. Sport Rider SE is a two-bike platform-style bike rack capable of supporting two bikes up to 80 pounds each, held primarily by these frame hook and two additional straps down at the bottom so it does make contact with the frame. We don't recommend using it with the carbon frame bikes. It should work for the most alternative frame bikes 'cause it moves up and down that center mast, but it could damage carbon frames or your paint while you're driving, so that's something you want to consider. One thing that is nice about this rack is that it does have the ability to tilt away with the bikes loaded, but there are a couple things we need to undo first. more

Destination E is a two-bike platform style bike rack capable of supporting up to 70 pounds per bike, so it's really good for those e-bike purposes. It's going to hold onto our bikes primarily by these rotating padded clamps on our center mast, on the frame of our bike, as well as three additional straps down at the bottom. One of the nice things about this rack is that it does have the ability to tilt away with the bike loaded. So we'll show you that first so you can see how it works. more

Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Kia Sorento- Video
Hi everyone. Aiden here with the etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Yakima FullTilt on our 2020 Kia Sorento. The FullTilt is a hanging style bike rack. It's gonna hold the bike by the frame up here with our two zip strips over top, keeping it in the cradles but the third one around the seat post limiting our side to side movement, which will help with bike to bike contact. You can hold up to five bikes on this bike rack but I will point out that depending on the bikes you're carrying, you might notice some issues. more

Yakima RidgeBack Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Kia Sorento- Video
Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Yakima RidgeBack on our 2020 Kia Sorento. The RidgeBack is a hanging style bike rack. It hangs the bike by the frame and it's gonna secure it with these two zip strips over the top of the frame. It's got a third one around the seat post over there to limit our side to side movement. It doesn't totally eliminate it, but it does help and reduce that bike to bike contact. more
